Fritze The University of Potsdam, Faculty of Arts, Department of Romance Studies invites applications for the following position, to be filled by October 1, 2024: Professorship (W2) for Romance Literary Studies (French/Italian) The successful candidate represents the field of historical and contemporary research on French, Francophone, and Italian literature and culture. In research, they should have a track record of relevant publications with international visibility and experience in the acquisition of third-party funding. A high level of commitment to teaching and a willingness to contribute to the development of new degree programs are expected. Furthermore, cooperation with the professorships of the department, especially Cultural Semiotics, competencies in the research focus of Digital Humanities, and the willingness to actively participate in the Faculty Network Digital Humanities as well as in research projects and collaborations of the Faculty are expected.
